What is a multi-point locking system?
The locks you have on your doors can vary in quality and build strength, but we make sure ours excel in both aspects. For example, our aluminium bifold doors use a unique 8-point locking system complete with 20mm linear bolts and 25mm security hooks to ensure your home is protected. This type of multi-point locking system means that your door is locked at more than one point around the frame, eight in this instance, for enhanced security.
Our uPVC doors and composite doors also both feature their own multi-point locking systems from Winkhaus Autolock to Winkaus Heritage Autolock, our security systems have safety in mind. Winkhaus Autolock is a locking system that operates on a slam lock as soon as the door is closed and reduces the risk of potential ‘tailgating’ as it is known. The Winkhaus Heritage Autolock, on the other hand, is located at a similar height to a traditional round cylinder pull (eye-level). This provides instant higher security as the lock is operated automatically as soon as the door is closed.
